Today I will be sharing with you a recent update we did with the downstairs portion of our home. When we moved in the paint color in the foyer, office, dining room, kitchen, living room, laundry room and stairway (basically everything except the bedrooms) were this khaki color. The color wasn’t horrible and for most people they would have been happy and left it. However I had a vision of transforming it to be a pale gray. After doing lots and lots of research I opted for Sherwin Williams Alpaca.
What I specifically didn’t like about this color was the yellow undertones which I knew wouldn’t mix well with my cool grey couch. I knew that eventually the couch would be replaced though so I decided to make my final decision based on my kitchen granite.
As you can imagine it look a lot of paint and time to cover all of the spaces but my contractor was able to get it done in 2 days.
Note: All of these photos are not edited or color adjusted as I wanted to show the true color. In addition both the before and after were taken in the morning so the light shown is a natural light.
