Disconnecting & Reconnecting

Ok, I admit it. I am guilty of getting caught up in all of the demands of day to day activities that I forget to take a moment to just b..r..e..a..t..h.. Yesterday though I decided that it was *time* and decided to pack up my son &  dogs for an exploratory walk thru our nearby trail. When I started our walk, I noticed right away the smell – an intoxicating smell of pine & fresh cut grass. The hypnotic sound of the crunching of the gravel beneath my feet quickly become hypnotic and we all quickly picked up a nice stride.

At the end of the walk, we were all tired but I felt as though my spirit was renewed and I was at peace. Here are a few of the photos I captured on our walk. May they inspire you to take your own moment to unplug and re-connect again to what matters most to you.

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, “This is what it is to be happy.”
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
